| Job Responsibilites: | RESPONSIBILITIES For the assigned team, implements and coaches in the development of supply base management strategies that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, inventory, lead-time, delivery, service and unit cost. Selects suppliers, negotiate Long Term Contracts where applicable, and maintain performance to expectations. Provides supplier quality, cost, timing and other data to other organizational components as part of commodity team sourcing and performance measurement. Initiate local market test programs. Supervise, coach, develop and train the buyers assigned by encouraging team work, the highest possible adhered standards and ensure the achievement of the assigned purchasing objectives. Makes adjustments within the team considering workload and opportunities to achieve the highest level of attainment. Leads the effort and develops with other affected areas (e.g., Quality, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Service Parts, Logistics) complex strategies and direct high value purchases to those strategic suppliers. Finalizes contracts with suppliers and internal organizations on such matters as minimums, lead times, quality rejections, price changes, sample approvals, and other Purchasing matters to ensure overhead costs are minimized and maximum value is received. Keeps abreast of market conditions, new developments and techniques of manufacture for assigned commodities by maintaining close liaison with suppliers. Initiates market tests, quality audits, design proposals, supply base reduction programs to generate profit opportunities. Initiates, develops, and implements major cost savings in conjunction with Product Engineering, QC, Manufacturing, Service Parts and Logistics with implementation responsibility related to suppliers (e.g., JIT programs in Manufacturing). Leads team in identification of opportunities to meet objectives for supplier reduction, creation of value, supply chain improvement, and customer satisfaction. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Negotiates price and terms to achieve best overall purchase decision. Meet or exceed material cost objectives. Coordinates the appropriate supplier involvement between product engineering, manufacturing and production purchasing to facilitate up-front simultaneous engineering efforts. Communicates internally with buyers, suppliers, as well as global interaction among corporate Purchasing Group. Communicates with Product Engineering, Finance, Quality, Plant Quality, and Supply Chain Logistics.

| Job Requirements: | REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in a related field; master's degree preferred. 6+ years experience in a global commodity purchasing role. Previous leadership/managerial experience required. Experience negotiating with strong knowledge of Corporate purchasing practices and negotiation strategies. Excellent communication skills; good analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge of MRPII systems preferred. Experience managing a budget (from forecasting through driving results). NAPM CPM and APICS CPIM certifications are preferred. A substantial amount of independent and creative thinking is required. Regular and consistent attendance. Approximately 10% Travel.
