| Our client is committed to being a broad based medical device implant company involved in developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing high quality medical devices and services throughout the world. Their strategy is to successfully acquire and integrate companies and develop products that expand or complement its existing product groups in orthopedics, increase vertical integration and enlarge its customer base. Our client is seeking a qualified candidate to direct the activities for Product Development. Candidate will assign staff to projects and ensure that continuous improvement is implemented in the product development process and participate with manufacturing engineering to bring new products from concept to production. Responsibilities include: interacting with many different functional departments and with surgeons and external technical experts; developing and maintaining design history files, delegate design projects to staff, review patent files, research industry development to insure that client is up to date on new technology. Successful candidates MUST have these minimum capabilities to be considered for this position: BS degree in mechanical and biomedical engineering with a MS preferred.; 10 years minimum management experience in the development, design, project management of orthopaedic implants; mechanical and biomedical engineering standards and concepts are a must; exceptional leadership and team building skills are a must. Total Joint/Orthopaedic Implant development experience required.
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 plus bonus
